The Lagos State Hospital Managemnt Board (Senior Staff) Cooperative Multipurpose Society Ltd held their Annual General Meeting on the 19th December 2013, at the LASCOMED HOUSE 125, Tokunboh street, Lagos Island, Lagos State.
Several Dignitaries from The Ministry of Health, Hospital Service Commission (HSC), LASUTH, General Hospitals are present. Moreso, Cooperative Leaders from Lagos State Cooperative Federation (LASCOFED) and Lagos Island Multipurpose Cooperative Union (LIMCU) coupled with otherinvited sister cooperative societies and the pressmen were on ground to celebrate the day with the LASCOMED members. The Lagos State Director of Cooperative representatives and the Area Officer for Lagos Island were also there to make the occasion worth while.
In the welcome address of the President of the society, in person of Mrs. Sikaiye O.T. first gave God all glory for great thing He has done in the year. She said, since LASCOMED was founded 20years ago it has been blessed by visionary and intuitive leaders which today has made the society a force to be reckon with within the cooperative sector.
Mrs Sikaiye, President of LASCOMED narrated their achievements within the year under review and other challenges faced by the cooperative society whom by God’s grace they are moving on to greater heights with her team.
Some of the achievements includes;
- The Commissioning of LASCOMED HOUSE at 125, Tonuboh Street, Lagos Island
- The purchase of Electronic products and computers/laptops worth over 15millions for its members
- The purchase of consumable goods worth over 150million for its members
- Disbursement of monthly loans to our members accruing to about 165million
- Building Loan was disburse to the members to develop the land at Erunwen Ekiti in Ikorodu
- Establishment of society’s website which is already interactive
- Commencement of building works at Laiye-Ode, Ikorodu
- Purchase of Life Insurance policy from Staco Insurance Plc for all members
- Celebration of birthdays by sending text messages
- Appreciatings retirees etc.
